A cute film, quite charming, the kind of homage crap that the Academy laps up like a thirsty puppy. There was some cleverness to it and some striking cinematography although I kept having the nagging feeling the most of the best frames were poached from classic b&w films. Sort of the parallel opposite of Hugo in that both glorified old film but one went B&W and the other going all 3D.
