I actually submitted a story to the "Shanghai Steam" Asian Steampunk anthology. Now, oddly, I'm hoping it gets rejected.
As it turns out, in the last few weeks I've written two more Asian Steampunk stories, and the three of them all tie together. They would work much better appearing one after another in a magazine. Fantasy and Science Fiction Magazine might be a good candidate. Not that I'm saying the editor would buy all of them, or even any. But I see it as a possibility, and the pay is double what the Asian Steampunk anthology would pay.
So, yes, for once I'm hoping for a rejection.
I'll know one way or the other by the end of February.
