How odd.
I just went through a very similar episode.
LC thought I should go see a doctor. But I saw no point in paying a doc to say, Wow, that's puzzling.
Ditto, didn't look like scabies. Took most of a month for it to clear up.
Our cat is susceptible to ringworm, but this just didn't manifest that way, from my readings.
One possibility is a reaction to oil paints. I recently hit my oil painting hard again. At times I get annoyed with the brushes and resort to blending on the canvas using my fingers. A lot of exposure, including the Turpenoid for cleaning. Never had a problem before. Then again, never been this age before.
Some of my oils are very old. We're talking titaniums and so forth, which are more dangerous.
I started wearing latex gloves, which either helped or the problem simply ran its course. But now I've developed a troublesome rubber fetish.
It just never ends....
