Dude -- it's a TV show, not "Art". Just watch the action and Moon Bloodgood and be happy.
I was too tired to actually leave the couch on Sunday after getting back from my first recreational moto-ride in about a year (including time off for crash, healing, and motorcycle replacement) so I got to watch Spielberg's War of the Worlds in HD before I played the pilot episode of Falling Skies. You can see where some of the ideas came from. Mostly I was impressed with truly macabre visuals in WotW. Falling Skies was better than watching baseball, golf, bull-riding, home-shopping, etc.. Let's see how it goes.
