You probably saw the preview. An outbreak of vampiracy takes over the world. The few remaining humans are rounded up and plugged in, Matrix-like, to provide blood to the population. Sam Neill is in charge of the major pharmaceutical company supplying the blood while their top hematologist, Ethan Hawke, is working on a substitute. Willem DeFoe is part of the ragtag bunch of humans trying to avoid getting caught. Clever twist on the vampire mythos. Interesting story. A little Hollywood, but not too bad. Some over-the-top gore scenes towards the end

I'd give it a thumbs up.
