Christina has been trying some new holiday movies. Most are pretty bad, but this was decent.
Alfred Enoch (Dean Thomas from HP) stars as one of the two owners of an ad agency who pitches an idea of getting strangers together for a holiday dinner and filming it. It is rejected, so he decides to throw a holiday party for the people that he commutes with.
Of course it works out. I think they wanted something positive along the lines of Ted Lasso, where the nice guy seems naive, but is proven right in the end. If you want something along those lines and don't want to think too much about it, or if you have a thing for Dean Thomas, then it's for you.
Upping the HP score to 2 is Timothy Spall. And it's got the psychologist from Ted Lasso. As with a lot of English productions, many of the actors seem vaguely familiar.
