Lotza greg&tQ FL threads, but just this one for ol' DM.  I'm headed back to Coral Gables this weekend for work, the 50th anniversary of Lee Koon Hung's school.  GM Lee died many years ago.  I never met him.  The school was taken over by his brother Master Li Siuhung (same Lee/Li - Hong Kongers don't care about our silly alphabet).  DM's trip going to totally outshine all the g&tQ FL threads as well as their upcoming Ire trip.

Okay no, just kidding.  It ain't gonna outshine no one's trip.  It's a work trip.  It's work.  When does a work trip outshine vacations?  Like never.

But I hope to eat well. Hong Kongers eat fat, especially when it comes to seafood, and Coral Gables is close enough to the ocean to deliver.  Should be some nice Atlantic seafood, for a change. Plus I'm looking forward to reconnecting with the east coast Wulin.  I fly out Friday, work Saturday (it's just an exhibition - no tournament) and then fly back Sunday.  Long flights.  Not happy about that but I got a few books.

At least you are going during hurricane season.

I have very little bandwidth at the moment for anything but my trip.

Looked at the weather for Coral Gables.  Three days of thunderstorms.  Lovely.

Stacy's schedule got all messed up so now she might not be able to pick me up on Sunday night.  I come in around midnight I think, which sucks.  I was hoping for a quick respite getaway but now it's becoming even more burdensome.

Bother.

JetBlue. Terminal B. Haven't been in here since the remodel. There's a huge wall dedicated to Harvey Milk. It's very nice.

Fly safe. Avoid jelly. And syrup.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

The free wifi works (obviously).  It's a little slow but connected.

Forgot my earbuds and my reading glasses.

Syrup is extra.  Everything is extra on JetBlue.  Except for wifi.  And power (outlet with every seat).  I'll take it.

JetBlue has extra space.  I got like four inches between my knees and the seat in front of me.  Even Legbone would fit.

Damn, why'd I think of that?  Undecided

Hopefully, they are serving some Teelings on the flight.

If only.  I'd spring for that.  So far, they gave me some pop chips and said there's a complimentary self service snack bar up at the blue light (between 1st class and the back of the jet where I am).

Turns out I'm travelling with an SF master and his young daughter.  He's Yau Kung Moon, which carries some Bak Sil Lum forms, so I guess that makes us cousins.  I like him, a gentleman with excellent Kung Fu.  We just ran an article featuring him.  We had a nice distracting chat about Hong Kong and the trade war - he had a lot of insights being from HK. Such a mess.  Turns out he's on my return flight too.

Good to be back in the Mo Lum.  It's another world and my common world is too sad right now.

In bed by 2:30am - not bad for one of these. Some fine lessons came out in the late night chat even though it was mostly Cantonese which I can barely follow. But still, some great stories and I picked up a few pointers I’ll try to steal.

Getting the celeb treatment - everyone wants to take selfies with me and I was seated next to the headmaster who kept putting eats in my bowl.  I’m grateful to be so honored.

Crap now I’m all wired. I need to be up in a few hours for breaky then to start shooting this event.
