Kung Fu Dunk meets Ong Bak - haven't seen it but it's been recommended. I'm hoping Lionsgate will kick me down a copy.

Seriously now, don't give your crew, especially your stunt people and your cameraman that much redbull. All the fights come out too jiggly. Too many quick cuts.
Way up there on the ridiculously stupid plot ideas. It's ghetto Thailand, with hip hop sensibilities, too much overdone machismo, lame back stories as if we cared. It's underground fighting basketball, but anything goes - metal pipes, spiked brass knuckles, trench knives, no point in dribbling really, just kill the other team. No trannies - strange for a Thai flick.
I was hoping it would make a good double feature with Kung Fu Dunk. Actually, I imagine if Greg put his mind to it, he could edit both of these films together for a kick-ass 10, maybe 15 minutes of basketball fu. He have to do it drinking redbull and listening to Jay Chou pop songs, and in the end, it really wouldn't have been worth that sacrifice.

Thanks for sparing me. Especially since I don't care for Redbull.

I first tried Redbull in '96. I remember it clearly because my Shaolin disciple brother had found some in Beijing. He was a snowboard/skate punk, and had heard of this only-available-in-Asia drink that gave you a buzz. So we got some, drank it and asked each other if we felt anything. Neither of us were overly impressed.
In '97, we went to Thailand, and Redbull made a lot more sense. Redbull was originally a Thai invention. It was really good in the tropics - nothing like an ice-cold can to get you to the next block in Bangkok.
I think my last major Redbull binge was the premiere of KA in Vegas, one of the greatest parties I've ever been at (see http://ezine.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/a ... rticle=595) I stayed up all night on Guinness and sugar-free Redbull.
I stopped drinking it when I went veg a few years back. Now we see a lot of Redbull-related cases in Rock Med. It's the fad to mix it with hard alcohol, and that can go really sour, like head-in-a-bucket sour, for hours...too wired to just pass out. :vom:

Good times. Isn't the theory behind 4Loco, which is Alcohol and caffeine?

Nasty stuff that. It goes sour easily, as you can imagine. Nothing as fun as perked, vomiting drunk. Glad they are banning it.
