I got deep into photocopying as art when I was doing the AFS catalog. The way the photocopy machine scanned brought a built-in distortion so no vertical lines could ever be straight - your brain just straightened them out of convenience. It got to be quite a rabbit hole, but too subtle for anyone to see. Nevertheless it kept me occupied and paid. And no, I never photocopied my moon. Never even tempted to go there.

"Beaver Moon" got me thinking about the US vs UK interpretation of the word "fanny"...

Supermoon on Thursday. Appropriately for this year, it's the "Cold Moon."

The way things are going here in the Central Valley with the Tule fog, I don't think I will be able to attend the viewing.

Out weatherman has been reporting on the fog - we've had some too - and said that Wednesday winds would reduce the fog. Although not sure if that will affect you.

All is fog. Although it did start out clear here today and then about 10am, the fog decided to roll back in.

During the morning dog walk, despite the Tule Fog, I did get to see the Cold moon. The top of the fog was at about 1550' and the Lair sits at about 1500'. When I walked up the hill about a quarter mile, the fog lifted and all was clear. It was also 34º.

Truly a cold moon for you. It was very good this morning. TG and I saw it coming over 17 last night, but the view was better early this morning.

Another morning of Fog and Moon. The dividing line seems to be my street. 32.8º this morning.

Started my viewing of the Geminid meteor shower early by seeing a meteor burn this morning for about four seconds. Tres cool.

Woah now. Meteors are NOT moons. That should go in a gathering thread.

Jesus Christ, people!
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
