I think this won an academy award for animation...
There's a cat, black, with big eyes, living in a house sourrounded and filled with cat effigies. Things are in disrepair and it feels like the humans are no longer around. An unexplained flood occurs - fast, biblical. The cat manages to get into a sailboat before the tall cat statue it is perched upon is submerged. The sailboat is occupied by a capybara. Lots of emoting...
Eventually, the boat adds a crane-like bird, a lemur, and a golden lab. They encounter issues. The takeaway is other dogs are assholes and the lab is an idiot. The lemur is self-centered and useless. It's unclear how the crane, capybara and cat all know how to man the tiller, but none know how to manage the sail.
The cat is the protagonist in this tale. the cat is dumb and ends up in the rising water multiple times, saved once by a whale-like creature. The cat gets to do cat things: chase blinky reflections, puffy tails...
None of the animals poop. They barely eat.
The animation was colorful and interesting, but the dogs were done terribly. The music was very ambient, Eno-like synth. Decent.
It could have used a sword fight and CGI blood...
