Decent action flick although it suffers from the wobbly-cinematography syndrome that makes weak-stomached Doomies puke in their socks. It was hard to imagine that American special agents could do what the Saudi Arabian military police couldn't in a matter of minutes, but if you dwell on such plot holes, perhaps movies aren't your best source of entertainment. Jamie Foxx is cool, collected and kick ass, like always. Chris Cooper is a spook's spook, also like always. Jennifer Garner has a hard time dismissing her Sydney Bristow role, but it's far better to see her cutting loose full auto and stabbing baddies in the crotch than suffer her in another insipid romantic comedy. Jason Bateman shouldn't have been on the mission (WARNING: SPOILERS COMING) except to be the hostage. Ashraf Barhom gives Muslims a sympathetic face, but Mrs. Dm called out his fate with in minutes of his introduction, and then called the time of it just before it took place. Nice alley firefight with grenades and rocket launchers. No sword fights, but one good moment of knife work. Obvious political message at the end.
Shadow boxing the apocalypse
