Not to be confused with Nick Cage's Pig.
A bound and hooded man wakes in the desert. He eventually gets free, but doesn't remember who he is. His only clue is a piece of paper in his pocket bearing the name Manny Elder. He encounters a woman and child who take him in. Thus begins his journey to discover who he is. He experiences jarring fragments to his past, but only enough to further distort the picture he is slowly forming of himself.
As for the title, at one point he comes upon a carnival with a freak show. The barker out front shows him a two-headed turtle, trying to lure him in. The sign lists pig as one of the animals on display. But he doesn't go in. Okay, that's not much to go on for the title. Okay, try this. So, if you squint really hard--I mean, really really hard, the man sort of resembles Nick Cage.
Eventually the guy tracks down that he used to work with computers. In fact, he's quite the hacker. He used to work for a shady firm selling shoes online. He was a master at breaking into private boards and posting ads for shoes. His moniker was Manny Elder.
One board in particular got under his skin. Its members would single him out and make fun of his moniker in various ways. Against his better judgment, he came out in the open and complained face-to-face to them. Well, that earned him a good beatdown. Enough to bring on amnesia. They dumped him in the desert hooded and tied up.
Oh. Yeah. And with a scrap of paper in his pocket bearing the name Manny Elder.
Pig 2 should be coming out in 2024. Maybe sooner, if we really irritate the bastard.
