Klaus is another attempt to explain the Santa Claus story starring Jason Schwartzman, J.K. Simmons, and Norm McDonald. It starts with a coddled son of the postmaster general being exiled to the worst town in the country to take up the post as postman until he delivers 6000 letters. The town is having none of it. They have problems of their own. But the movie covers all the bases of sending letters to Santa, being good or naughty and even the sleigh flying. Some of it was funny. Some of it was charming. A good addition to the Christmas movie canon. It was up for the Oscar the year it was released.
