Another Don Lee flick. Don is a fish delivery man who gets wrapped up in this King Crab money-making deal. But no, that’s just backstory. His wife gets kidnapped by human sex traffickers. It gets kinda harsh.l as the trafficking boss is psycho - a good villain - so detestable. And then there are Don’s bumbling buddies - comic relief that got me chuckling at their incongruous ineptitude. They worked quite well for me, especially the kendo guy - his fights were funny.
Don doesn’t really turn it on until about the halfway point. His fights are still fun - he’s like a rhino in a Hummel figurine shop. He totally sells the knock out punch. He just looks like he hits hard. There’s some super tasty ultravi in the latter part of the movie. The way he dispatched the biggest final thug was a total lol scene for me.
D00M recommended but not as the first Don Lee film you might see. Start with Roundup or Train to Busan.
