Stargazing by Peter Hill
#1
This is about an art student who takes a summer job as a lighthouse keeper in 1973. He works in three different lighthouses. Very little impenetrable dialect, and reads easy. A bit sad at the end since all the lights are now automated, so the people he worked with were the last of their kind. I enjoyed it. Recommended for a look at another life that doesn't exist anymore.

Non-fiction?
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.

I suppose I should have mentioned that. Yes. Of the brethren, I think you might enjoy it.
