American Gods

I have watched the first episode of this series based on the Neil Gaiman book. It seems to be following the book faithfully but it is pushing around the elements of the story to different times.

It's very bloody and surreal. And slow. Very slow. So, slow. But it is well done and I can't wait to see more episodes.

The first episode basically deals with Shadow Moon meeting Mr. Wednesday and setting up some of the other Gods. Lots of views of Yggdrasel.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I starte to watch this on recommendation of our graphic artist Patrick. I think he compared it to Preacher, which was unfair really, but he does that.

Didn’t work for me so a bailed after a few eps. But I never read the book http://www.brotherhoodofdoom.com/doomForum/showthread.php?tid=3892

I liked the few eps that I saw. It was on one of those "free Showtime weekends" or whatever delux cable show makes it. Starz? Anyway, well done, not fast-paced, but still engaging. Read the book so long ago, that most of it was newish to me.
In the Tudor Period, Fencing Masters were classified in the Vagrancy Laws along with Actors, Gypsys, Vagabonds, Sturdy Rogues, and the owners of performing bears.
