I grabbed this because I had read two of the stories - "The Faery Handbag" and "The Specialist's Hat" - in multi-author anthologies and enjoyed them.
Mostly this is the sort of fantasy where odd things intrude into our otherwise everyday world. A couple of stories seemed to be set in alternate (and more conventionally fantasy type) worlds. There is a bit of horror to some of it.
Most of the stories were quite good, and only one was (to me) a dud. The two mentioned above were perhaps the best. The title story also had an interesting and clever twist.
Recommended.
