And hell is what I got. Sad to say, I bought this book. I was tempted because it was a mash-up between the zombie and hardboiled detective genres. And for the first two or three paragraphs, I was entertained but then it just seemed to be more of the same in the zombie genre.
Which could have been all right, if done well with a compelling story. But I kept thinking the rules of his world didn't make any sense. Why would the beautiful girl fall in love with the zombie? How could the zombie stay a zombie if all the zombies flesh was gone? How could a zombie articulate a suit or armor? And many many more.
I slogged all the way through to a very dissatisfying end. I want my time and my money back.

As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm
