The Music Never Stopped

IMDB Link

Nice little story of a father trying to reconcile with his estranged son. The trouble is the estranged son has a brain tumor that causes short-term memory loss. To him it's always 1970-something (they say in the movie but I forgot the exact year). All he has is his passion for rock (Grateful Dead, Dylan, Cream etc) which his father hates.

Desperate to restore their relationship he tries to discover what his son hears in those songs.

Yes it's cliched, hokey, whatever. The acting is good and the music is great. Something got in my eyes at the end so things got a little blurry.

The Dead play heavily in the story so check it out just to see some props given in a mainstream movie.
