Extremely loosely based on historical figures, it's about a lady show balloonist (Felicity Jones) and a scientist (Eddie Redmayne) who attempt an altitude record flight. Entertaining with only a few overly foolish or impossible bits. I think Jones is charming, and Redmayne less twitchy and therefore better than in Fantastic Beasts. Kudos to the designers; it all looked great. Plus some great aerial shots. Ultimately it's a bit slight, but entertaining. No swords at all. It would have been much better on the big screen I think; probably spectacular in spots.
FYI, there is a book called Falling Upwards about the early history of ballooning and there are several very interesting stories there.
