Ralph breaks the Internet
#1
Oh, you opaque forum. I thought we had a thread for Wreck it Ralph. But I can't find it. (yet, I found two threads about run ins with Turkish Carpet Salesmen. Go figure)

I enjoyed the first one. It was surprisingly funny and enjoyable. At least that's how I remember it.

Ralph 2 didn't measure up for me. I think it was a giant easter egg hunt pretending to be a movie. Much like Ready Player One. Granted it was made by Disney so there were plenty of eggs to find. It was fun to see the Star Wars Characters and the Marvel Characters, but the story was a little young for me.The whole point was if you love something, set it free. And it wasn't very sophisticated.

I was a bit disappointed overall.
As a matter of fact, my anger does keep me warm

I never saw the first installment but generally agree with your assessment here Greg.  The best parts were the easter eggs and the D+ properties, the stormtroopers, groot and the princesses.  The princess scenes rocked.  The vid game nods when past me for the most part - I'm mean I got pacman, sonic, chun-li and thought of ED with q-bert, but those weren't as fun as the princesses.  It reminded me of the Lego movies too, as well as RP1. Gal Gadot was great as Shank.  I didn't care for Ralph or Vanellope. The rest was meh - when the most interesting thing is recognizing a corporate logo, you gotta wonder what has become of entertainment.  I'm not going to go back for the original.
