This is a doc about that other brotherhood - the Brotherhood of Eternal Love, one of the leading suppliers of LSD (& hash) during the summer of love and beyond. Tara went to a screening with some people featured in the doc at some La Jolla art gallery. I’d had Sunshine Makers (a parallel doc on Netflix) in my queue forever, but this one was on Amazon. it was okay, didn’t account for the fallout well. Not much mention of all the acid casualties. Plus they reinacted scenes and aged them, splicing it together with real footage, which felt deceptive. All the interviewees were full of themselves like acid heads often can be and yet the doc was really forgiving on them, crediting stuff like Apple and the discovery of dna to acid users.
