RIP Robert Duvall - King Bob - 03-01-2026 Surprised there was no thread for this. I guess DM's birthday was all anyone could think about. I always liked him. He turned up in odd places occasionally and was good. And no one our age can forget him in Apocalypse Now. RE: RIP Robert Duvall - Drunk Monk - 03-01-2026 A downer on my birthday… thst and the Iran bombing. I was listening to the radio about the bombing coming home from Kung fu and a crow chased a field mouse into the intersection where I was at a stoplight. It was promptly run over and I could see its tail flipping about in death throw reflexes. Trying not to interpret that as an inauspicious omen. RE: RIP Robert Duvall - King Bob - 03-01-2026 Maybe it was an omen about crushing your enemies RE: RIP Robert Duvall - Greg - 03-01-2026 Duvall died over a week ago, before Robert Carradine and Martin Short's daughter died. RE: RIP Robert Duvall - Drunk Monk - 03-01-2026 Maybe KB is unstuck in time Or maybe Greg iz shackled by it. RE: RIP Robert Duvall - thatguy - 03-01-2026 The fact that he was in THX-1138 which seemed pretty experimental always made me think that he was interested in trying new things. I mostly remember him from that and The Great Santini --tg RE: RIP Robert Duvall - King Bob - 03-02-2026 I know I was late, but since it was never posted... RE: RIP Robert Duvall - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 03-02-2026 His greatest film roll was in The Killer Elite. |
