RIP Tatsuya Nakadai - Drunk Monk - 11-11-2025 One of the truly great superstars of jidaigeki. I may have to revisit Ran or Harakiri in mourning. RE: RIP Tatsuya Nakadai - King Bob - 11-12-2025 I was recently thinking of watching Ran again. I haven't seen it since I went to Los Gatos to see it when it was released. I was stunned by it. RE: RIP Tatsuya Nakadai - Drunk Monk - 11-13-2025 Funny, that's what Stacy said. Unfortunately Ran isn't on Criterion, but they do have a collection dedicated to Nakadai. He did this long ass trilogy - the Human Condition - each film is 3 hours long - a WWII story. Never seen it. Criterion has that, of course. Might start chipping on it. We'll see.
