I have never been a fan of The Beach Boys. BUT, they do have some great songs and all of the ones I do like are because of Brian Wilson.
I hope it was peaceful at the end.

Strange to lose Brian & Sly so close together. Sly’s tributes are still coming. I’m listening to one now on 91.5.
It took me a while to appreciate the psychedelic qualities of the Beach Boys. I had to get past their pop surf sound.

jesse thorn, host of the Bullseye program (that started on KZSC, but ended up on NPR) posted a tribute to Sly on FB saying that he was as much a talented genius as Brian Wilson. Wilson dies the next day and someone posted in the comments asking him if he could compare Sly favorably to some current politicians, perhaps…
