There was also a Planet Drum show at the Marin Civic that you and I went to. It may have been called something else. I think that would have been around 1990 or so.
He turned up in odd places, for example, with the Kronos Quartet, and with Bill Laswell.

Yes! That Planet Drum show is still among one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. It predates me sharing every show I go to here, which is a shame because I’ve lost so many shows to my ever failing memory.
But I remember that planet drum show. It was quite a trek but so worth it.
