RIP Kris Kristopherson - thatguy - 09-29-2024 https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/29/entertainment/kris-kristofferson-singer-songwriter-dead/index.html I wasn't much of a fan, but he moved up a peg when I learned he wrote "For the Good Times" Sticking up for Sinead brought him up another https://americansongwriter.com/remember-when-kris-kristofferson-defended-sinead-oconnor-and-their-unlikely-friendship-and-collaborations/ --tg I guess he knew when to fold 'em... RE: RIP Kris Kristopherson - King Bob - 09-30-2024 For me his big song was "Sunday Morning Coming Down" - when I saw Johnny Cash play it live, it was intense, maybe the highlight of the show. And he wrote "Me & Bobby McGee" and "Help Me Make it Through the Night." I've got a good reggae cover of the latter; I'll post it over there. RE: RIP Kris Kristopherson - Drunk Monk - 09-30-2024 I respect who he was and what he contributed but I wasn't that into him. My strongest memory was when he sang The Gambler on the Muppet show. RE: RIP Kris Kristopherson - Greg - 09-30-2024 I worked with him on Planet of the Apes. By worked with him, I think I saw him on set once. RE: RIP Kris Kristopherson - King Bob - 09-30-2024 Let's not forget him in Blade. He was good there. Better than Snipes. And he wrote a song about the Sinead O'Connor thing (although it's not a great song): RE: RIP Kris Kristopherson - thatguy - 09-30-2024 (09-30-2024, 01:26 PM)Greg Wrote: I worked with him on Planet of the Apes.
