School Spirits (2023) - Greg - 12-07-2023
Maddie is a dead teen stuck in the afterlife, haunting her old school. But she is not along other ghosts of students and teachers who have died are there with her. The big problem for Maddie is she doesn't know how she died or who killed her. The first episode is about her finding out the rules of the afterlife from the other ghost and it gets a bit tedious. There is also a bit of detective work as she struggles to find out who killed her by watching her friends and fellow students deal with her death. She follows her boyfriend and other friends as they grapple with her death.
Maddie is played by the villain girl from Cobra Kai Peyton List. The whole cast appears to be about fifteen years older than the age of the kids are supposed to be playing. It's also very dour not a shred of humor anywhere.
We might watch one more episode to see if it lightens up.
Not recommended unless you need to see Peyton List in another role.

Caught Ep02 last night. Very slow going. Still leaning heavy on the dour and unfunny. But the episode has a very funny title. I probably won't watch any more but once again there was a nice little cliff hanger at the end when another bit of the plot gets revealed.
