I Married a Witch (1942) - Drunk Monk - 11-01-2022

I don't know why I watched this. Halloween is over. It was as if Veronica Lake cast a spell on me...

It's one of those preiod rom-coms that made no sense. Some Puritans get cursed by a father and daughter witch they burned at the stake. Fast forward to 1942, and their descendants are still feuding, or at least the father and daughter, but can you blame them? Veronica is the witch daughter and she consumes the film like a ravanous vampire. In a twist of fate, she drinks her own love potion and falls for the descendant she has targeted. It was hard to know who to identify with or who to root for... In the end, it's all about imaging what it would be like if Veronica Lake threw herself at you. Her in that white gown...woah. 1942 Woah!

Not D00M recommended...
