Mr. Popper's Penguins by PYT - Drunk Monk - 01-20-2007

Directed by Dexter Fidler. We read the book, and then it was read again in Tara's class. It's a cute book. When Stacy found out the director, we had to go. I was astounded that Dex could pull off a show that well with only 20 hours with the kids. This is youth theater. It made for a cute play. We had a grand time and it was great to see Clan Fidler. Throughout the show, I was tripping on how different our lives were over a decade ago, back when we were making swords and drinking beer together. There was this question and answer period after the show and one little girl asked Dex why they didn't use real penguins. He said they were slightly harder to direct than teenagers. I'm not sure he's right there. We'll both know in a few more years...

Very cool. Yup, life has certainly sent us off in directions that none of us predicted.

I don't understand what you are saying. By the way, You and Dex are several years late for work. I don't think Fred is going to let you guys off lightly this time.

have you checked in with dex lately? did you hear about chicago? rose was telling us of it after the show and laurel happened to overhear. it was the first laurel had heard, and rose was pleased that she took it well. looks like some big changes ahead for the fidlers.

Holy Crap! They may not know that the weather in Chicago can kill you! I better call!
