Beyond the Black Rainbow (2012) - thatguy - 07-20-2021
This is an impenetrable retro Sci Fi piece, but it's really beautiful. It feels like there are call outs to all the great 70's-80's Carpenter and Cronenberg and even Lucas' THX... It's got a heavy synth score like Stranger Things. And like ST, it makes these nostalgic call outs while still being its own movie.
It's a really slow moving story with a lot of WTF am I watching moments.
