Reading books you've read before.... - Greg - 01-26-2021

I'm reading a book called The Wrong Stars by Tim Pratt. On about page five I realize I've read this book before. I know I read the book before because I remember that the Aliens are referred to as 'The Liars' because nothing the aliens say is true. But that's the only thing I can remember. It's maddening. I don't know if I should could reading or not. Sure I don't remember the story but I'm pretty sure at some point it will all come flooding back.

And it's the first book in a trilogy and I'm curious if I read all three books in the trilogy. Oh, the madness.

This happens to me now and again. If it was a good book, I just enjoy the ride again. If it was a book I did not like, but bought it because of a different cover/cover blurb (re-issued) I get resentful.

I finished it. It never clicked over to the 'I remember this story' phase. But it all seemed really familiar.

It was an entertaining book, I like Space Opera, but it was too cutesy with the repartee.

Very cutesy.
