Lovebirds (2020) Netflix - Greg - 05-31-2020
Kumal Najiani and Issa Rae are a couple on the verge of breakup when they stumble into a murder. Rather than go to the cops they work together to solve the mystery and rekindle their love. I'm not spoiling anything. You can see these plot points coming from a mile away. Two miles. Look, the plot is simple.
Overall, it was pretty meh interspersed with some funny bits. A lot of times, it felt like improv scenes that didn't quite make it. Kumail is getting very good at doing his schtick and it's time to branch off. Although, he does look swole from his Eternals workout.
It was mildly diverting.
