Jigsaw Puzzles - El Dingo - 04-10-2018
I like to do jigsaw puzzles.
Particularly 1000+ piece puzzles.
I can sit down, put a record on and lose myself in a meaningless task.
I equate jigsaw puzzles with meditation. Some may argue against this comparison because one does not clear one's mind of physical tasks.
I disagree.
When doing a jigsaw puzzle, the mind obliterates all external thoughts and cares. It's like doing Bonsai or weaving. Everything becomes quiet (except the blasting of King Diamond on the stereo). Hours can pass in an instant.
But, the most important thing is that, after spending days repairing a picture, you tear it apart and donate it to a charity.
