LC is Sacramento-bound for Electron College protest - cranefly - 12-19-2016
Well, Lady Cranefly got up very early this morning to join a friend heading to Sacramento.
They'll be protesting the new requirement that all electrons must get a four-year college degree before they can travel through circuits.
I know some electrons revolted down around where Greg lives and caused a blackout.
Anyway, Lady Cranefly and her friend will be protesting.
They're driving a Nissan Rogue, by the way. A red one.

Remember - remedies for chemical mace:
Flush skin and eyes with water, soap and water or saline solution (for eyes). If it's pepper spray, water is contraindicated and milk is better (but usually riot police use CS or CN). Flushing will increase pain, but only for a moment.
Remove any clothing that might have chemical residue.

Well, a friend of ours and his family have cemented plans to move to Canada, probably by July. It's not easy to do. Canada doesn't want older people who will become a burden on their health system, etc., before having contributed something. But he and his wife have worked out jobs and schooling that should make it a permanent move. I'm wishing them the best.
And yes, it appears the motivation is the Horror Clown and his posse.

Well, this thread hasn't had a post in 18 months and yet quite a few things have happened since then.
I remembered being horrified when he was elected. I realize now I should have been exponentially more horrified.

In our palatial palace, famous for redundancy as well as very tight quarters, if you turn on our TV, you'll discover that is is tuned to channel 36.3: CGTN (China Global Television Network). The TV hardly ever wavers from there, at least for over the air viewing. Sure, we stream and watch stuff through our internet connection, mostly Youtube, Criterion.com, Netflix, Hoopla, and Kanopy. But the home base, before venturing to one of them, is CGTN.
As a result, we pick up bits and pieces of the news from a more Chinese perspective.
Recently we detected a change on their channel. It took us a while to notice, as it's very subtle -- just a big red warning banner permanently plastered across the top of the screen announcing that CGTN has been declared "a foreign mission" of the Chinese government.
What it boils down to is a declaration that CGTN is propaganda.
Shocked by the sheer measure of our gullibility, we have dutifully switched our TV to a more credible home base: 2.1 (Fox).
P.S. This has been an attempt at humor. Granted, a very labored attempt, so feel free not to laugh (I'm not).
