Saw this today: Celebrity special: opening lines from books
No doubt you may have favorites not on there, but there are some really good ones there, and some I had forgotten.
If you have other favorites I'd like to hear - I think there is a great poem or song to be made from them. Maybe not by me. I am a bit lazy.
