At the ballpark with DM/ED (It's pronounced DOOMED) - El Dingo - 07-29-2013 Moving this from the Movies thread. Just a place to put the ribald tales of wanton extravagance and puckish behaviour as DM and ED waylay Darth Maul at Oakland Stadium. I know I'm getting old when a conversation goes like this: DM: I'm interviewing Darth Maul from Star Wars Ep. 1 at the A's game Tuesday, want to go?. ED: Seriously? Free baseball tickets? To be fair, Darth Maul was the saving grace of that film. He was the antidote to Jar-Jar and radiates a rare coolness that has won him the 'silent-but-deadly' roles in subsequent films (most notably Snake Eyes in the G.I. Joe movies). Anyway, please be home to answer the phone. We will be calling for bail money and a ride home around 7PM. I was figuring it was ED/DM...sort of like EDM with a stutte - Drunk Monk - 07-30-2013 I actually already did the interview - see http://www.kungfumagazine.com/ezine/art ... ticle=1105. It was a phoner last week. This was just tossed into the mix as an extra bonus from the promo rep - free tix and the meet&greet. I'm going to pitch Darth for a cover story. But mostly, it's just for a fresh facebook pic and a chance to hang out with ED in his natural environment again. We should make this some sort of tradition - martial arts baseball games. Re: At the ballpark with DM/ED (It's pronounced DOOMED) - El Dingo - 07-31-2013 Truly the face of evil. And on his right is Darth Maul/Snake Eyes.
thx 4 the cell pic - Drunk Monk - 07-31-2013 That was fun, yes? Snake Maul was cool. We could have talked for hours. I wound up leaving shortly after you did. Good call on your part - there were no more runs after that. |
