127 Hours - Greg_phpbb3_import1 - 05-28-2011 Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. Ow. We all know the story, right? Hiker falls into a canyon and his hand gets wedged under a boulder. He then has to well you know. First off, It's a beautifully shot and constructed film. Very well put together. I marveled at the cinematography which I don't think I've done for some time. The construction was really interesting, too. How the shots juxtaposed themselves. The extensive use of dividing the screen into thirds for different shots was done very well. But, I knew what was coming and was kind of waiting for it. It made the ninety minute film seem very long. Although knowing what was going to happen made for some terrific foreshadowing. The scene were he eventually does the deed is pretty graphic and intense. It made me really emphasize with the Aron. Maybe a bit too much. And Mr. Rachman can really rock a beat. Re: 127 Hours - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 06-01-2011 All hail Danny Boyle. Re: 127 Hours - The Queen - 06-01-2011 Danny Boyle was a huge pain in my ass a couple years ago, when he won the frickin' Oscars for Slumdog. Asshat wouldn't shut up. 10-page answer to one stupid question. And the answer could have been, "Yes, I did." Asshat. |
