The Man Who Folded Himself - King Bob - 11-29-2008

Years ago I read David Gerrold's books about Star Trek, but I'd never read his fiction. This one is about time travel and its paradoxes. I was a bit surprised by the gay sex scene in the middle. (I found out from the intro that Gerrold is gay - and more interestingly that he was a story editor for Land of the Lost.) It was interesting, but a bit slight - he sets it up so that he doesn't have to explain where the time machine comes from, and that makes it a bit unsatisfying.

I read that a few years ago at someone's recommendation. I have a hard time remembering it, but I recall that I thought it was a pretty good read. I also read Jumper and I get the two stories mixed up.

It's funny you mention it today. I just finished watching an interesting movie about another time traveler:

When it comes out on DVD, you should check it out.
