RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - King Bob - 02-23-2021 Leaflets three, let it be! RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 02-23-2021 There was this one time in my youth, before I could recognize the plant, I waded into the bush to relieve myself. Let's just say it was unpleasant in unfortunate areas. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-03-2021 Due to tQ's Stepfather passing, she has decamped to Florida for the next 12 days. Wow, is this house quiet with only me in it. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 03-03-2021 You got dogs... ...and cats... ...and tarantulas. well, tarantulas are super quiet, especially when they walk over you while you're sleeping. We expect major binging and subsequent DOOM reviews. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-03-2021 I'm working on it. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-05-2021 I just failed my living in the country test. I've been chopping down dead trees and branches. Got a nice burn pile already to go. Just waiting on a little rain so the ground is damp when I do it. I hoped to do it this weekend in anticipation of Monday/Tuesday's rain. Burn season ended last Sunday. Dammit. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 03-05-2021 So what happens if you burn out of season? RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-05-2021 First off, I won't. But if you do and they catch it's a fine. I don't think enforcement is very rigorous up her. I've been watching burn pile smoke from all my neighbors. It's odd, too, because, you were only supposed to burn at an elevation of 2000' feet or hire. People in the neighborhood aren't big on following laws that inconvenience them. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 03-05-2021 So whacha gonna do? A big ol' woodpile will make a fine spider nest. Not just tarantulas...widows and brown recluses. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 03-06-2021 Move the pile (va backhoe, because of course you have one) to your neighbor’s land. Light it up over there. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - King Bob - 03-06-2021 Pretend it was a wildfire RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 03-06-2021 Never fear! Your city dweller DOOM Bros have plenty of advice. How big is this pile? RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - King Bob - 03-06-2021 Or you could rent a chipper and use it for mulch RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 03-06-2021 You need your own chipper. They have lots of uses. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-06-2021 Uncle Al has a small backhoe/tractor. I am very envious of it. Although, my property is so hilly, I'd really only be able to drive the tractor if I got one from the garage the 50' or so to the studio and then turn around to drive back. The wood chipper runs into the same hill problem. As would a riding mower. But I might be in luck, I just saw on the FB page for my town that today was a burn day. Unfortunately, the burn window ends at 4pm and it is now 3pm. I'm hoping that tomorrow might be a burn day, too. |
