Well damn. I drank too much iced tea on the road home from Hetch Hetchy. And I discovered two annoyingly itchy bites near my right big toe. I got dozens of bites, but it was so hot and grueling that I sweated most of them off in an hour. Yesterday morning I got two symmetric bites behind my pinky knuckles, one behind my right thumb, one on my cheek, and two on my ass when I was using a cathole, but they were all gone within an hour or so. Now it’s just the two aforementioned foot bites, one on my flank, an a few along my forehead at my hairline - although I haven’t checked myself thoroughly yet beyond my post-hike tick check.
So now I tweak and itch...

Still awake after my 4:20 pee. A bit of a headache and my mind is wound up with random thoughts about my life and the mundane world. I need to get up in under 2 hours anyway, but I’m hoping to squeeze in one more sleep cycle, just for good measure. Maybe it’ll reduce the headache:

Just popped awake with Bon Jovi’s Livin on a Prayer burrowed like an ear worm in my head. I don’t know why. Haven’t heard that song recently that I can recall. It’s not 4:20 am and rather distressing.

I’ve been awake for over 20 hours now and after a Teajava and a Koicha, plus a ninja flick, I’m still amped up. I don’t want a sedative because I’ll need to be sharp tomorrow. Maybe a shot of vodka...

I was nodding off watching Olympic badminton and tucked into bed when Tara texted me that she couldn’t figure out her shower. She sent me a pic and I solved it right away (Dad skillz - the younglings as a greg dubbed them had not seen one of the old fashioned pull down spigot valves and I was delighted to be of service). I started texting Tara & Bri about their new place. They’re all moved in safely and figuring out their space. They found a gluten free pizzeria on Geary and were delighted. Bri had no concept of the magnitude of GGP. I told her about the bison & windmills.
Now I’m all awake again. Grrrrr

I was woken at 1pm by an extremely wet thigh courtesy of Dani. I don't know if she just came back inside from peeing or was licking something on her leg. Either way, my underwear was soaked. After I changed, my mind went to full hamster whee as I lay there. Plus, I kept finding more spots of dampness. I also fell into that cycle of feeling I would never fall asleep again ever. I slipped into unconsciousness around 3. I woke up 4 to take the dogs.

Fire alarm beeped to tell me a battery is dying. Not sure which one because it’s the middle of the goddamned night.
I was deep in a pleasant dream. I can’t rememeber the details now but there was something about a friendly wombat...
Alright. Climbed on a chair to pull in down and yanked the goddamned battery to shut it up. Back to the wombat.
