Otis Gunther was a bass guitarist for a Metallica cover band but he could only get a banjo player, and oboeist and a bong player to join him so the act totally tanked, reducing him to slinging shoes and working at Starbucks. It's a sad story really but they're all sad stories lately.

After doing a short stint in prison, he was excommunicated from the German Engineering Association for Crimes Against Precision and exiled to South America. He now works as a cabana boy and slings shoes to support his Pisco Sour habit.

Gustave Stillwell was in "A league of Their Own" as the pesky kid annoying all the female baseball players. When the league folded he had to find a new outlet for his abuse. He waited fifty years but finally found that outlet slinging shoes on the interwebs.

August Whit is the real name of August West, the character depicted in the Grateful Dead’s epic addiction ballad Wharf Rat. Only they changed the name to protect the guilty. Whit hated that. It was his only claim to fame. He was a homeless drunk, and always told people of his claim but no one believed him. He died alone, in the cold, in a puddle of his own excrement. A deadhead stole his identity to sling shoes online and made a killing with knock off crocs in the early days. It was total luck. He has no talent for sales whatsoever. He lives on a super yacht now and continues to sling shoes hoping lightning will strike again.

Janice Richard is the long lost cousin of Little. She has no musical talent but kept trying to make it, hoping to get discovered at LA Mexican restaurant Karaoke nights. That was until she was crushed by the dulcet tones of Greg & Dm's searing rendition of Heartbreak Hotel. It triggered an epiphany about how pointless it all is, and now you know what she does to make ends meet. She's not proud. But she's not deluded either.
