We had a bit of a monsoon pattern here on Saturday which created havoc in the mountains. Power was out here for about six hours. More importantly, the power was out well into Sunday morning further up the mountain into Oakhurst and beyond. The problem is that our internet service provider is in Oakhurst. The power outage has disconnected our ISP. It is still out this morning, Monday. No estimate on when it is to return. I'm currently online via my very spotty cell service.

Ugh.

I bet the storm was impressive, though

Turns out it was just us without phone service and internet. The nice man came out and said there was a damage relay at the main box. He plugged us into a different relay and now we are back to being in the 21st century. At one point the nice man was afraid he was going to have to use one of my extension cords to power the box that runs our internet.

The AQI today, due to the 24K acre Garnett fire, is currently 180.

Got filters?

We have filters for every room now. We've had them since the CZU fire. Totally worth it.

It's not like wildfires are going to slow down.

I long for the days of AQI 180!

AQI is currently 389.

Good thing you moved to the country for all that fresh air.

Aqi = 20 by the sea here

I've never liked you.

Oh come now

Where would your crotch be without me?

Oooooh AQI just rose up here.

Now we’re at 21.

Oh, don't worry. It's on the list of reasons.

Oooooh. That's gotta be a long list.

Now in svale where the air isn't as nice. AQI = 25.

It's long. Much like Iron Crotch.

RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 09-08-2025

It's only long when stimulated.

Usually it's more flaccid.
