RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-01-2024 Tornado warning! RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - King Bob - 03-01-2024 Damn. Snow too, or are you too low for that? RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Dr. Ivor Yeti - 03-02-2024 Nothing is too low for Lynch! RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-02-2024 Hey! We received a bunch of snow around this time last year. But this storm has snow levels above 6000' and we are only at 1500'. 3" of rain, though. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 04-04-2024 The temperature went from 44º to 34º in about fifteen minutes. The hail has turned to snowflakes. None of the snow sticks. Yes, Aoife has gone out to investigate. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 06-10-2024 Currently finding it very hard to concentrate as fire fighting helicopters and spotter planes circle the house as they fight a fire about a mile east of the Lair. The dogs are not enjoying the noise. Fortunately, the wind blows the fire away from the house. I had a call from our fire captain neighbor. I'm pretty confident the firefighters aren't going to let the Fire Captain's house burn. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 07-05-2024 We currently sit between two big fires to the North and South of us. Depending on which way the wind blows, we get smoke. Buckley has been handed off to the Rehab Center in Fresno. Today, while I walked the dogs, in almost the exact same spot where I found Buckley, another Screech Owl flew across the road in front of me and landed on a fence post about ten feet away. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - King Bob - 07-05-2024 Maybe that was an owl thank you. I thought you'd be getting smoke when I saw the French Fire map. I'm just waiting for my car. No word yet on what the problem is. I'm starting to think they won't be done today. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - thatguy - 07-05-2024 You have read or seen Harry Potter, haven't you? --tg RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 07-05-2024 Who? RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 07-31-2024 Note to self: Never ask the neighbor how she is doing. It will never end well. Our poor neighbor. She is going through some stuff, from infidelity to having to putting down her dog to having her bar closed down by the health inspectors. The Queen and I saw the neighbor drive by, waved, she stopped, and we got an earful. Each story worse than the previous. Each story would be a terrible tale of woe but she kept going. Each comment I made elicited a worse story. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 10-26-2024 Chased the cows away. Now, I'm sitting here in the house wondering when PG&E will get the power back on. RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Drunk Monk - 10-26-2024 Maybe the cows were pg&e? RE: Life in Lynch Lair at Wildcat Station - Greg - 03-23-2025 The Queen spotted a Hawk's nest near the house. I'm spending a lot of time going to the nest to see if I can spot the occupants. |
