Anyone wanting a Helmsworth warmup before seeing this movie could always gawk Spiderhead on Netflix. Not that I'm recommending it. Overly repetitive, and Chris was creepily unlikable.
Note to self: If a movie is lauded as "currently most popular on Netflix," there's a good chance it's not meant for me.

I have made it to the metreon and my pain levels are medicated -‘caffeinating to counterbalance. It would be kinda funny (to you) and very annoying to me if I fell asleep during this.
Seemed like such an effort to get here but traffic was surreally kind and I did some qigong in a corner walkway to the Moscone center.
Waiting for my +1…

But I like Taika so it’s great fun.
I was distracted from my pain (aka timing out my norco dosage perfectly) but it gave out in the last 20 mins of the hwy1 ride home. Might’ve made it if I had t got stuck behind a drunk driver for a long spell.

The more I reflect on this film, the more I see it as fun escapist fare, which is what I need now. It’s got so many plot holes and odd story arc beats, but it’s funny and that’s all that counts here. I watched the Thor one shots with Daryl and found them hilarious in that Waititi way, like candy, no nutritive value but a good placebo distraction from the pain of life now. This film is a lot like that.
Curious to hear MCUfanboy Greg’s reaction. Will it succumb to MCUlt adoration or will the underlying dumbness rule?
