I assume your mom has a trust at least to hold title on the house - gotta avoid probate.

Yes. Everything comes to me in the will. My dad spread the money around a ton of different bank accounts which will be really annoying to sort. However, there's one major account in both my mom and my name, so that's the safety net.

My parents have had a living trust for quite some time. It was just recently updated after the passing of my father. Although he did throw in one verbal caveat to the three kids that's going to cause problems. C'est la vie.
