Time to lather up and head out into the sunshine to work on my sunburn. So many holes to fill.

Euphemisms aside, how many holes does it take?

I have no idea what that means.

It means it was light outside when I left work. For, like, a couple of *hours*. It's unnatural, I tell you, UNNATURAL!!!

Kung Fu - I haven’t mentioned that the academy where I train is closing after 35+ years. Their building was sold. They must be out by May 17. It’s very sad and I’ve yet to process it.

Then the symphony tonight - Ludwig’s 9th - one of my all time favs.

No nose or grindstone today.

RE: NTTG 2026 - King Bob - 05-02-2026

Went to the Mountain View library booksale. Snagged some good CDs. Only found a couple of books, but one was about the Lewis chessmen, so looking forward to that. Then we hit the Goth market (6 months to Halloween) at the Winchester house, but it was weak. The December one is better, if only because Krampus is there.

What’s a CD?

Dear God, please save me from my own good ideas. Spending the morning putting plants in the ground. And by ground I mean the concrete that surrounds the house. Sure, it looks like dirt, but it acts like concrete. For the afternoon, I'm going to move dirt from the driveway into the planter boxes I built during another one of my bouts of good ideas.

RE: NTTG 2026 - Drunk Monk - 05-03-2026

Had a good yoga session. Today is a catch up/get ahead day. Gotta sort tomorrow's screener review prep, cut pills, sort my June calendar, deal with my mom's bills, etc.

RE: NTTG 2026 - Drunk Monk - 05-04-2026

Got my longass telemeet with the bossmang and a solid day of work. Then up to SF J-town for the MK2 screener. I’m going to try to head up early to grab dinner at Kinokiniya mall.

may the fourth be with you

You’re in my ‘hood just as I’m heading out!

RE: NTTG 2026 - Drunk Monk - 05-04-2026

I thought I smelled bad mackerel here but maybe it’s yeti funk?

RE: NTTG 2026 - Drunk Monk - 05-05-2026

Got a telemeeting first thing, then off to take mom to her doctor's appointment, then up to Tiger Claw for lunch and to pick up the new PRINT issue (we made it to #2!), then home to finish my MK2 review. A rather big day.

Got out the sledge hammer, the bull pricks, the dry line and the pick axe. It's going to be a party in the back yard!

Long ago, ED convinced DM that he would win a lip synch contest at a local bar. We went every week for a few weeks. He always chose music that wasn't pop and this was a pop music bar, so he never won. Sledgehammer was the only song he did that the voting audience recognized.

Today is a work day. Then yoga.
