Huh. Actually, I have no idea how I figured that. I either responded to the wrong thread, or it is totally, and without question, the fault of the moderator. Which would make it Merc-in-Ret if “ret” stood for “retcon”.

I should be writing. DoG tasked me with a simple piece, something I actually wrote a quarter century ago under a pen name (just reread it and man, my writing style was so clunky back then - did it ever get better? Prolly not). I’m repurposing it at request but the muse just ain’t answering. Today, last week, it’s catching up. Might take a nap. I’ll write tonight. Might need some stimulants.
DoG has a few things lined up for me - two editors got their budgets and reached out. Need my muse. Need her like a fix now.
Fuck - I turned off my call screening because Ive been getting so many calls for my mom and I already got 2 sales calls.
