Some of you may be familiar with A Martian Odyssey or Parasite Planet, both here in this collection of his stories set on various planets and moons in our solar system. Weinbaum was supposedly the first SF writer to think much about alien ecosystems and fit the alien beings within them. And In one story a character crosses a vacuum without a pressure suit (and then explains why it is possible), which could be the first example of that as well.
All of the stories are basically just adventure stories, often with male and female characters who start out hating each other and end up together. His interest in environment is different from other stories from the period, but ultimately it's pretty much just fluff, although entertaining if you like that old stuff. But he only wrote for a few years (he died young), so he could have gone on to better things if he had lived longer.
