Benedict (Wong not Cumbersnatch) is on the case. Physicists are commuting suicide. Science is broken. 
There’s a good subplot backstory on one of the characters that is based in the cultural revolution which excites me because that period is seldom depicted in western cinema. Warrior’s Father Jun is an unfortunate professor who falls afoul of the Red Guard. 

The scientists are introduced, including Samwell from GoT as the boorish chip maker. 

Good intro ep. I’m hooked.

I'm totally in on this show. So much happens in the first episode. Wheels within wheels. I did like the Chinese back story. This period might excite DM but it is making the Chines Government angry.

I mentioned 'The Wonger' to the Queen and she gave me a strange look.

It’s making US conservative happy which is so ironic. I get that they see it as denigrating communism but it’s really about totalitarianism.

I hate when the commute gets all suicidal.

I'm enjoying this so far. (spoilers/but not really) They're doing some interesting things. I liked the human computer and the Panama Canal bits. 

It's unclear how Benedict makes some of the leaps that he does, but I guess that's what makes him such a good investigator...

E2 took a different turn with the alternate reality ‘game’ - Samwell made me chuckle. Some interesting special effects - always nice to see some fresher effects. Still very enjoyable.

You are not invited! Watched an episode and a half. It's kind of slowing down. I do like the snack king and his life style. The Wonders continues to be good but I don't remember when he bugged everyone's phone. Still good stuff.

I feel like I have to go back to the book and reevaluate because the book wasn't this involving.

E3: Aw man. I liked that character. 

It’s getting more videogamey and my suspicions about what was happening are somewhat confirmed (note that I’ve never read the book and really don’t know what it’s about - I just know of it). 

Still enjoying it tho.

Same. The My lord bit is creepy. It's good to see more complications being added into the mix especially during story time. Although it reminded me of a Star Trek episode.

E4: nice twist. Another complete tone change from the previous episode but kept up the momentum and took several unexpected turns. This show continues to captivate.

Finished. I liked the humor in ep 8, laughed out loud a few times.

Now we wait for the next installments...

6 finally a chill ep so I can catch my breath. And bugs.

7 I get the GoT connection now. Both series are merciless and kill major characters with ruthless abandon. 
8 season finale - An odd ending. I appreciated the humor but didn’t lol. SPOILER ALERT Somewhat of a cliffhanger, for a 400 year cliff. Bring the cicadas in was timely since this year is predicted to be a cicadapocalypse (oh, I like that - just made it up just now). It’s validating to see the stoner become the wallfacer. END SPOILER
